Coppicing
is an ancient form of woodland management, that involves repetitive felling on
the same stump, near to ground level, and allowing the shoots to regrow from
that main stump.
I’m
pretty sure that the person who cut down one of the trees in the forest, the
site that we are working in, didn’t do it in order to do coppicing (not sure
this is how you’re supposed to use that verd...).
But
The results are magnificent nonetheless.
I’ll try to get more pictures the next time I’m in the forest.
