A few sparkles on winter

Winter has finally came to Israel - in Israel’s way, which means a few days of winter and a few days of autumn/summer in between.
It’s getting quite cold and chilly outside and there is a serious talk about snow that are due Wednesday but it’s not that sure yet.
In Israel when it’s snowing we don’t go to school.
I live in Jerusalem which has snow almost every year, most of the time it’s for a day or two but sometimes it’s longer and lasts a few days.
Even though Jerusalem has snow almost every year it’s still comes as a shock and a surprise to everyone when snow comes.
Is Israel people don’t know how to dress for winter and the stores here don’t carry that much of warm and waterproof clothing.
When it snows in Jerusalem everything is closed - the schools and all the stores so right now the entire city is in a bit of a panic attack to store food and to get ready for the upcoming snow.
Obviously there will be no 🌳 school if they’ll be snow because the children won’t have school and me neither.
Because it’s very cold 🥶, in the past few weeks we haven’t gone to the forest but we did forest sessions in our out door patio. The patio is located in school grounds.
Those kind of lesson are a  different kinds of challenges for me and for the kids.
I really wish that we had school when it snows so we can do at least one outdoor session in the snow.
